Hallo, World!

Hi, I am Lukas.

Welcome to my blog! I’m thrilled to kick-start this journey of sharing my research endeavors, with all of you. It’s a pleasure to have you here as we embark on this academic and intellectual adventure together.

Who am I?

First things first, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Lukas Rauch, a devoted researcher with an insatiable curiosity for bridging the gap between traditional civil engineering and the latest advancements in applied computer science and computer vision. My academic voyage has led me through the rigorous programs of both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil Engineering at TU Munich which has provided me with the opportunity to build a solid technical foundation and work on a variety of exciting projects. In 2020, I had the chance to start as a graduate student at the Institute for Structural Engineering (University of the Bundeswehr, Munich). In the following years I worked on different projects, including the optimization of temporary military bridges, novel biological hemp-based concrete reinforcement as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional steel rebars.

Presently, I find myself immersed in a cutting-edge project focused on automating core and shell construction processes using state-of-the-art robotics technology. The potential for innovation in this field is boundless, and I can’t wait to share my insights and discoveries with you.

The Vision

This blog isn’t just a digital space; it’s envisioned to be the central hub for showcasing my personal work and achievements. It serves as a direct gateway to connect with me, where you’ll find links to my social media profiles and contact information in one convenient location. Additionally, this platform is designed to host my datasets and share the results of my research, bringing all these resources together in a unified space for easy access and exploration.

Join Me on this Journey

I invite you to join me on this quest that starts at the crossroads of civil engineering and computer science. Let’s engage in thought-provoking discussions, exchange ideas, and inspire one another to reach new heights in our respective fields. Feel free to leave comments, ask questions, or explore collaboration opportunities.

Stay curious, stay inspired!
